Choose a file. Your browser works out seven independent fingerprints of it and compares them with the published ones. The file never leaves your device.
One per line. Labels and filenames are fine, so you can paste the contents of a sidecar file as it is. All seven is best; any you have will be checked.
A hash is a short fingerprint worked out from every byte of a file. Change a single character and the fingerprint changes completely. Verify7 uses seven different, well-studied methods, so a forged file would have to fool all seven at once.
Everything happens in this page. Nothing is uploaded and the page makes no network requests. Before each use, the page tests all seven methods against known answers.
